2.4. Coordinates
I consider this type of clue scrolls to be the longest and hardest clues to accomplish. These are clues that tell you a spot where you have to dig a spade with, in navigation form. They’ll say something like some degrees some minutes south/north and some degrees some minutes east/west. Then you’ll have to figure out where the area location is and try to dig at until you hit the exact spot.
To start off this treasure trail go to the house north of the Observatory and talk with the professor there. Ask him if he could help you on a treasure trail and where you could get the watch and the sextant. Go to the clock tower southwest of the zoo in East Ardougne and talk to Brother Kojo to get the watch. Speak with Murphy at the dock in Port Khazard and he’ll give you the sextant. Once you have these 2 items head back to the professor and make sure that he hands you a Navigation Chart.
Now, click on the “Look through Sextant” option on the sextant. Click on either the directional arrows next to and below the horizon view until the sun is at the center of the view with the horizon line going through the middle. Then click on the “Get Location:” option. It is most likely that you won’t get the exact view on the first try. Just keep on moving the arrow keys until you do.
Now carry with you the watch, the sextant, the navigation chart, and a spade to the location indicated on the clue scroll. Dig at the exact spot to get the treasure or another clue. If the spot is in the wild then you’ll have to defeat a lvl74 Zamorak Wizard before you
can dig it up. If you got the clue scroll from a lvl73-227 npc (even if you’ve already done

2.2. Anagrams
First is anagrams. What does anagram mean? An anagram is a word in which the letters of the original word is rearranged in order to form a new word. An anagram does not have to be a real word. The anagrams on the clue scrolls are rearrangements of an npcs name.
Anagrams
Clue Npc/Location
A Bas Saba/ Around Death Plateau northwest of Burthorpe
Aha Jar Jaraah/ Dueling Arena Hospital
Are Col Oracle/ South of Black Knights’ Fortress on Ice Mountain
Bail Trims Brimstail/ Gnome Stronghold
Bar Bell Seek Kebab Seller/ Wandering on the east side of Al Kharid
Eek Zero Op Zookeeper/ In the zoo in East Ardougne
El Ow Lowe/ Runs the Archery Shop in Varrock
Goblin Kern Kind Bolren/ Wandering in Tree Gnome Village
Halt Us Luthas/ In a shack next to Karamja’s east dock
Icy Fe Fycie/ North of Rantz, an ogre southeast of Gu’Tanoth
Me If Femi/ Located at the entrance of Tree Gnome Stronghold
Ok Co Cook/ First floor of Lumbridge Castle
Peaty Pert Party Pete/ Fun House in Seers Village
2.3. Challenges
Challenge scrolls are only given to you by npcs, they are never dropped. When you have come up with the answer to the challenge question you will need to give whoever gave you the scroll back to them and answer the question correctly.

rarer than trimmed ones. Trimmed armors have a light outline color of the color of their armor.
Above both trimmed and gold armor are God armors (only available in the form of
a rune plate, legs, full helm, and kite). There are three sets of God armors: Zamorak, Guthix, and Saradomin. Each set has its own unique distinct color which will indicate the type of RS God a player wearing it follows. Guthix armors have an outline of green, Zamorak is red, and Saradomin is grayish white. Guthix armors are the cheapest of all three God armors because Guthix is a neutral kind of god. Zamorak and Saradomin armors are about the same value.
2.1.2. The Clues
Now that I have explained how treasure trails work, read on and I’ll tell you what each clue means.
Ok, when you have a clue scroll read it to see what it says. Your object is to find the treasure or the person in which the clue indicates to. However, once you have found that treasure or the person that has the treasure there is a possibility that you will be given another clue scroll in which you have to solve, so that you’ll never know when the treasure hunting is going to end. Treasure trail is really just a fun add-on mini-game to Runescape. You could end up treasure hunting when you least suspect it.
There are a total of 8 kinds of clues:
– Anagrams
– Challenges
– Coordinates
– Maps
– Npcs
– Puzzles
– Riddles
– Object searching
I will explain about all of them and where your next treasure trail location/person is.

2.1. Treasures
If you happen to acquire a unique item that you can’t get anywhere else except from doing treasure trails, then be sure to look up some information on it as that item can be very rare and highly valuable. Sometimes you might get a rare item (e.g. trimmed armors, rare boots, etc.) and find out that the color of that item differs from others. The original value of a rare item may change depending on its color.
Npcs level 2-16 have a possibility of dropping clue scrolls leading to trimmed or gold black armors or other rare items such as berets, wizard’s boots, and highwayman masks.
Npcs level 20-72 have a possibility of dropping clue scrolls leading to trimmed or gold adamant armors or other rare items such as wizard’s boots, ranger’s boots, and headbands.
Npcs level 73-227 have a possibility of dropping clue scrolls leading to trimmed or gold rune armors or other rare items such as pirate’s hats, robin hood’s hats, cavaliers (looks like a fishing hat with a feather on top), and armors of the 3 gods (Zamorak, Saradomin, and Guthix).
2.1.1. What are trimmed and gold armors?
Trimmed and gold armors are the same as regular armors. They don’t give any special attack or defense bonuses. So why are they so valuable? It is because of the looks. These armors will also indicate that a player is rich. They will be labeled as (name of armor) (t) or (g). The (t) means trimmed and the (g) means gold. Gold armors are much
